Side scrolling - A side-scrolling game or side-scroller is a type of video game where the gameplay action is viewed from a side-view camera angle, and the onscreen characters generally move from the left side of the screen to the right. 





Isometric - In video games, "isometric" refers to some form of parallel projection (commonly, the form of dimetric projection mistakenly referred to as "isometric") where the viewpoint is rotated slightly to reveal other facets of the game environment than are visible from a top-down perspective or side view, thereby producing a three-dimensional effect.  

Flash - Flash games are created using a software called Flash hence the name. Flash software can be developed using an IDE such as Adobe Flash Professional, Adobe Flash Builder, FlashDevelop and Powerflasher FDT. 







Anime - These types of games are based on animes, they can be adaptations of animes that have already been released or it could also start as a game then turned into an anime. 

Abstract - An abstract strategy game is a strategy game that minimizes luck and does not rely on a theme. Many of the world's classic board games, including chess, Nine Men's Morris, checkers and draughts, Go, xiangqi, shogi, Reversi, and most mancala variants, fit into this category.

The animation on this music video looks very anime based because of the way they've designed the eyes which are very big and unusual, the colors they used were quite bright and it was everywhere.  

Delta - Wizz/CRCR

On this music video the animation used looks more like modern cartoon, the texture of the animation looked kind of rough, the setting of the place looked like it was in a dessert, it was quite unusual but not abstract.

John Lewis Christmas Advert 2013

I think these animations including the ones above, have been created using the cel animation technique the way this technique works is that you have to draw each frame of the animation, advertising agencies today employ the use of animatics to test their commercials before they are made into full up spots. Animatics use drawn artwork, with moving pieces (for example, an arm that reaches for a product, or a head that turns). A reason for companies to use this kind of animation is that it appeals to the audience very well, the audience can be anybody especially children and it's also much more entertaining than live action.

This advert was made by using the technique Stop Motion Animation, the way it flips to a different frames is very clever and i think that drawings were made by ink.
